Bob and Gayle at the Sequim Lavender Festival July 2005.

Hello.  We are Bob and Gayle Selby and we live on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula in Sequim, Washington.  From our home with a view of the Olympic mountains, Bob makes enamel glass beads which Gayle fashions into one of a kind jewelry creations.  We make necklaces, earrings, bracelets, wine charms, and bookmarks.

Having retired from corporate positions with two large California utility companies, bead and jewelry making has been the perfect way for us to develop our creative sides and to meet many interesting people.

In addition to this website, we sell our jewelry at the Sequim Open Aire Market.  The Open Aire Market is open each Saturday from May until October from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  For a schedule of our demonstrations at the market, please visit the Events section of our website.  For more information on the Open Aire Market, please visit their website at www.SequimOpenAireMarket.com

No machines are involved in the beads Bob makes, so no two beads are exactly alike. The process he uses to make the beads involves layering colored glass powder and small chunks of glass onto copper tubing. Using a torch and various tools, he sizes, shapes and molds the enamel glass. When it's just right, he lets the bead slowly cool. For more information about this process, click here.

People often ask us if bead making is profitable. All we can say is that every time we see someone wearing one of our creations, we feel like a million bucks.

Thank you for your interest in our jewelry!
